Second draft of magazine
This is the second draft of my magazine. I completely changed the layout of my magazine as I did not like the colours or the lay out anymore. I changed the colours to pink and blue trying to keep the idea of the magazine being for both boys and girls. I have changed my contents page and added more articles but still have a far way to go with my contents page as I feel it does not look like a real contents page at all. I also changed the writing, especially the size because when I did more research on magazines I learnt that they have big titles and headings to stand out. On my double page spread I learnt that they are plainer then I originally thought so I decided to stick with a white background to keep it subtle and sophisticated instead of a green background that made it look dull and boring.
I still need to improve things on all aspects of my magazine but especially by adding more to my front cover and the contents page and going back and looking at more magazines to compare them to mine.

What I have learnt recently/over the holidays
Looking at other peoples blogs and music magazines I have learnt more about what to include in the next draft of my magazine. I need more different things on my front cover as I only have one picture and I also want to look at the colour scheme because it is quite in your face.
Over the holidays I looked at other magazines and it gave me a better idea of what things I should include in my next magazine. Including what different types of articles to include next time and what types of things music magazines do include.
In the last few lessons I have learnt how to use Photoshop and indesign better including the different tools. For example on Photoshop I learnt how to use the tool that removes spots and bags under the eyes and make them look clearer. I also learnt on indesign how to make writing better and make it look interesting.
