This is my final finished magazine. I have edited a few things about each page. I made a new barcode from scratch on paint instead of taking a picture of one because I decided it looked more proffesional than a blurred picture of a barcode. On my contents page I moved the articles up and made the bottom picture of the hand longer so it didn't look so squashed. On my double page spread I checked my spelling and grammer and changed the way I put certain things to make it make more sense or just sound more proffesional.

Barcode
This is my barcode that I am going to put on the front cover of my magazine:
I used paint to make the barcode and tried to make it as real as I can by using a picture of a barcode found on google that I then used as a draft for my barcode.

Changes I need to make to my Double page spread
First paragraph:
Move "quite frankly I love it over" and change sentence to "I listened to my favourite singer Demi Lavato and it inspired me to follow my dreams because of the things she had also been through and quite frankly I love it"
Second paragraph:
"As well as losing my dad which made me go off the rails"
Last paragraph on the first column:
"Words cannot describe it"
First paragraph second column
"I've"
Second paragraph
"follow my dreams anyway!"
Fourth paragraph
"make a new album"

How my video feedback helped me make changes to my magazine
My first set of videos I did the two girls told me what they liked best about my magazine. This helped me because when I then went to make changes I made sure I kept the things they said they liked best, for example I made sure I carried on the use of bright colours throughout the magazine as my target audience said that it worked well and made the star on the front cover bigger and brighter as they commented on the fact that it caught their eye and made the front cover look better. The feedback from my videos also made me make improvements to the pictures used in my magazine because the girls said they were important and caught their eye so I wanted to make them look even better and add more pictures because the girls emphasised that pictures that are well edited and look good make the magazine look a lot better. I also used the feedback to give me the confidence to stick with my original ideas, especially in the contents page. I wanted my articles to be spread out on the page with just a line of information about them underneath and although a lot of people said it wouldn't look right or it wouldn't look professional I liked it and thought it did and went well with how I wanted my magazine to look and feel and by one of the girls commenting on the fact that she likes the way the articles are spread out and there isn't many made them feel more individual and she knew what ones were important and what ones to look for at first when she brought the magazine. Doing my second set of target audience helped me make sure that the things that were said in the first set of videos were still good in the second set, for example the bold writing and pictures were said again and the pictures were said they were better.

Question 6: Looking back at your preliminary task, what have you learnt in the progression to your full product? - PLAN
*PLANNED SPEECH*
This is my preliminary task and this is my finished full product. As you can see they look completely different which you can tell from just looking at them without even looking into detail and reading everything. The main reason for them looking so different is I learnt how to use Indesign which I was very unsure about when I started the first task - obviously this helped a lot because I learnt how to use the software I needed and didn't just make it up.
First of all I learnt that having a lot of pictures on one front cover does not look good and the way the writing is all over the pictures does not look good or professional so I decided to change this on my full product. I went for one main picture with nothing over her face apart from her name over her body, which was nothing to important. As you can see this looks a lot better then having the writing all over the pictures and more professional as this looks like it was rushed and had no thought put into it. I also learnt how to take professional pictures from a proper camera and not a rubbish digital one which made my front cover look a lot better. I learnt how important white spaces was when doing my full product and decided that I would spread things out more and have different things going on on the front cover but still make it look sophisticated. From my preliminary task I also learnt how important colours and and titles were so that I then used on my front cover as making my titles bold and bright.
My contents pages look completely different to each other because by doing the preliminary task I learnt how to use Indesign to produce a contents page that looks similar to a real contents page. I did this by having less white space and less articles because I felt they were all cramped together. I also learnt that having less articles on the contents page and a little bit of information about them looked a lot better then having lots of articles together. The white space I knew made my contents page look very rubbish so that's when I decided to add the directors letter because my preliminary task also looked very plain and boring so the letter made it look more interesting.
Although I did not do a double page spread for my school magazine it helped me decide what to do for my double page spread. It helped me because I had learnt about white spaces and taking pictures so when making my double page spread I knew I didn't want any white space and wanted a whole page to be taken up by a professionally taken picture with pull quotes to make the whole double page spread look more interesting.
Overall doing my preliminary task helped me a lot especially with learning how to use the software that of course was important to be able to finish my full product to a high standard but also with learning what looks good and what doesn't. This was important for me to know what I wanted it to look like as I then knew what looked good and what didn't.
