Photoshop practice
When I practiced using Photoshop I created a poster. I used edit and free transform to drag the picture of the beach to fit the poster. I then right clicked on the layer containing the beach and chose rasterize I then clicked on the icon that is new layer mask and chose the gradient tool from the tool bar. I made the picture more see though and faded by choosing opacity option and changing it to 40%. I placed the picture of the female actress and used edit and free transform to make her the right size and moved her to the left hand side of the poster. I right clicked on her layer and chose rasterize and edited the picture by using the quick selection tool and selected areas behind the actress and quicked backspace to delete them. I was then left with just the actress and used the rubber to rub out any left over little bits. I repeated the process of fading out the bottom half of the picture like I did for the beach. I then placed the picture of the actor. Using edit and free transform I resized him and moved him around. I repeated everything I did with the actress to the actors picture and used the quick selection tool to cut him out and then added the layermask and used the gradient tool to fade up the bottom half of his picture. I then found the picture of the hand drawn love heart, resized it and moved it around. I then clicked on the layer and chose to reasterize again. I stayed selected on that layer and changed the word normal by dropping down the box and chosing multiply. The white background disappeared and left just a small bit of the picture. I then put in the picture of the credit block and resized it so it covers the bottom of the poster and added the film certificate. I clicked on the T tool and dragged out a text box at the top of the poster. I clicked on the colour box at the top and chose a dark red. I then chose 72pt font size and trajan font. I double clicked on the layers box with the text on it and selected drop shadow and bevel and emboss, this made my title bolder and clearer. I used the T tool again and dragged out another text box and put the actors' names in but in a smaller size font of 18. I then added another text box and using the tunga font wrote a quote about the film. Mine said "A heart warmer this valentines day", I placed that on the left hand side near the actors names.
